Malew
In the name of God, Amen. I Alice
Creetch of the Parish of Malew being
weak in Body but of sound mind and
memory (blessed be God etc) do this day
being the 12th of April in the year of
our Lord 1797 make and publish this
my last will and testament in
manner following (that is to say) first
I give and bequeath to my daughter
Catharine my dwelling house and yard
backwards situate on the Bowling Green
near Castletown and wherein I now
live and all other the appurtenances
thereto belonging for and during
the natural lives of the said Catharine
and her husband John Cubbon, and
after the decease of the longeest liver of the
said Catharine & John I give and devise
the same to William the eldest son of
said Catharine but if the said William
happen to die before either of the said
Catherine and John then the said house
is wholly at the disposal of the said Catharine
and John to sell or mortgage or otherwise.
Also I give and bequeath to my daughter
Ann the sum of twenty shilings.
Also I give all the rest and Residue of my
goods and chattles and personal estate what=
=soever I give and bequeath unto my said
daughter Catharine. And I make
and ordain my said daughter Catharine
sole executrix of this my last will and
testament. In witness whereof
I have herunto set my hand, the day
and year above written
