In the Name of God, Amen — I Thos Lawrence of Douglas being, blessed be
God, of sound and disposing memory & judgment, do make and ordain this my
last Will & Testament in manner following —
Ime I resign my soul to Allmighty God, in the full assurance of his
infinite goodness, and my body to christian funeral, at the discretion of
Relatives, in the hope of a blessed ressurrection.
2do In what I have of worldly property, I bequeathe to my Daughters
Elizabeth & Eleanor to each One Hundred pounds Brits shlg to be paid to
them severally as they arrive at the age of Twenty one years or or the day
of mariage if with consent of their Guardians.   And I do hereby appoint my
wife Eleanor Lawrence & my brother Geo: Lawrence, Surgeon, Liverpool,
Guardians of my said Children
3do I do hereby name & appoint my wife Eleanor Lawrence, executrix to the
residue of all my worldly effects ­ real & personal estate, of whatever
kind I am now, or may be possessed of at the time of my decease ­ In
witness whereunto I have given my hand & seal this 6 th of July 1798 in
presence of the subscribing witnesses
