To The Rev John Crellin Vicar Gen’l

	The humble Petition of Thomas Clarke of Ballaugh
	And Richard Radcliffe of KK Andreas

Sheweth
	That  Ann Radcliffe als Clark the late wife of your said
	Pet’r Rich’d Radcliffe and daughter of your Pet’r Thos Clark
	Departed this life on or about the 10th day of August
	In the year 1797 intestate leaving issue one child only
	Namely Esther Radcliffe a minor of whom your Pet’r
	As the only next of kin were sworn Guardians and 
	Supervisors according to Law as by the Letters of Admin
	Of the said deceased dated 6th Nov. 1797 may appear.
		That your Petitioners to prevent trouble inconvenience
	And expenses and also upon the Recommendation of Vicar Gen’l
	Thereas dec’d omitted to have the goods and Effects of the said
	Ann Radcliffe’s appraised and instead thereof duly viewed and valued
	The said goods and effects themselves.
		That your Petitioners humbly submit to your
	Reverence that the sum of seven pounds and ten 
	Shilling currency of this Island clear of all deductions
	And debts is fully adequate for the said child in lieu of 
	Her share of her said deceased mother’s goods and effects and
	Such as with tend to her advantage And
		Therefore Petitioners humbly pray your
		Reverences acceptation of the said sum of
		L7.10.0 in full of the goods and effects of the said
		Deced’ to be forthcoming for the said minor
		And that this Proposal may be ordered to
		Be recorded as the inventory of the said Ann
		Radcliffe dec’d for the benefit of her said
		Child and your Pet’rs will pray.
	At KK Michael 5th December 1801
	Ordered that the before going Inventory be
	Recorded and “_____” to the Degree of administration
	Of the goods and effects of Ann Radcliffe
	Decd’ Pledge for the forthcoming of the 
	“_____” of the said inventory for the behalf
	of the said child is John Corlet of “_____”
	in the parish of Jurby.

		Ballaugh
	At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael
	On the 6th Day of November 1797

Ann Radcliffe als Clark of the parish of Ballaugh
Having departed this life on or about the 10th day of
August last past Intestate and this Court having 
Received intelligence thereof hath decreed her only 
Child namely Esther Radcliffe administratrix of
All and singular her goods Chattels and effects
Movable and immovable whatever who being under 
Age Richard Radcliffe her father with Thomas 
Clark her Grandfather are thereupon sworn her guardians
And supervisors and the said Richard Radcliffe
Is also sworn in Trust for her well and truly to 
Administer the estate of this Intestate to return
A true and perfect Inventory thereof to the Registry
Of this court and to pay all her just debts so far
Forth as her goods and effects will extend and the 
Law shall bind him. To which ends he hath 
Given pledges in form of Law namely John Cain 
And William Kelly both of the parish o Ballaugh.
