John Corkil, 1798

79       Maughold

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre on
the 18th day of October 1798.

John Corkil of Ballagorry in the parish of
KK Maughold departed this Life on or about the
13th day of May last past Intestate and this Court
having received Intelligence thereof hath Decreed
his seven Children namely John, William, Thomas,
Peter, Christopher, Jane and Margaret Corkill
Co-administrators of all and singular his Goods
Chattels and Effects movable and immovable
whatever, who being all under age, except John 
and William, they are thereupon sworn Guardians
and supervisors of the said Children under age and
also in Trust for them as well as in their own Right well and truly to 
administer
the Estate of their Intestate to pay all his just Debts
so far forth as his Goods and Effects will extend and the
Law shall bind them and to return a true and perfect
Inventory of the said Estate to the Episcopal Registry ~ To
which Ends they have given Pledges in form of Law
namely John Callow of Ballacreggan and John
Callow of Ballaskeig both of the parish of KK Maughold.
