The Last Will & Testament of Elinor Kelly, alias
Corteen, otherwise Creere; Wife of John Kelly Senr
of the Neighrey-beg in Braddan; being of sound and
perfect mind & memory, at the making whereof, the
29th day of March 1798 ~~

First ~ She commended her soul to God and
Her Body to Christian Burial. ~~~~

Itm  She left to her Daughter Catherine all her
Cloaths

Itm  She left & bequeathed to her two Daughters,
namely, Catherine & Anne, whom she like-
wise, constituted and appointed (the whole
& sole) Execxes of this her last Will & Testam.
all the residue & remainder of her Goods, Chattels,
Rights, & Effects; movable and immovable, of what
kind or denomination so ever; to be possessed &
enjoyed equally between them: Leaving and
bequeathing six pence Legacy to any Person, or
Persons, Claiming or pretending a Right to any
of her Goods whatsoever.  ~~~~

Patrick on the 20th Day of

The Executrices are sworn in Court..
Form of Law and have given Pledges of
Payment of Debts and Legacies namely
Robt Creer of KK Braddan and Thomas
Quine one of the Witnesses of the Will

     The humble Petition of William Creech
of Maughold, and Thos Caine of the Parish
of Braddan ~
Humbly sheweth..
      That Elinr Kelly, als Corteen, als Creer;
Wife of John Kelly, of the Neighrey-beg in
Braddan aforesd about the 29th Day of March
last, departed this Life: duly made her last
Will & testamt and left her Goods & Effects
to her two Daughters (Cath & Anne) the Wives
of your Petrs whom she likewise nominated
Execrxes of the same.
      That the Goods & Effects of the sd Deceas’d
are in a situation, subject to Loss & Imbezzle
ment; and your Petrs remain unrepresented,
& not able to superintend sd Effects, or Estate
            Your Petrs therefore humbly pray
            that your Reverence can be pleased

            to order a hearing hereof whereby
            they be legally adjudged and appointed
			that petitioners may be enabled to act 
			in the executorship according to the
			will of said deceased with such other 
			relief as to your Reverence may deem
			meet and your petitioners shall pray.

Ordered that the beforegoing petition do come on to be heard at an Eccl
Court to be holden in the court house in this parish on Friday next whereof
all parties and persons to have due notice.
Given at KK Patrick 16th April
