      In the name of God Amen
Whereas I Eizth. Qualtrough of Kentraugh In the Parish of Kirk Christ Rushen am but
in an indifferent State of Health but of sound Mind and Memory & calling to Mind the 
uncertainty of Human Life do make this my last Will & Testament in the manner following ~
Imprimis I commit my soul to God who gave it and my Body to Christian Burial in 
hopes of a joyful resurrection thro’ the Sufferings and Merits of my blessed Lord & Saviour 
Jesus Christ. ~
I leave and bequeath unto my son Edwd. Qualtrough the Bed he sleeps on with the 
cloathes thereof, & also another Bed with the cloathes belonging thereto ~ I leave him the large 
Table which is in the Parlour, likewise I bequeath unto him all the brewing vessels, kitchen 
furniture with Barrels Tubs & Cans.
To my granddaughter Jane Qualtrough I leave and bequeath the Sum of Five Pounds British.
To my Daughter in law Mrs. Martha Qualtrough I bequeath ten Pounds Britsh.
To my Grandson Thos. Qualtrough I leave five Pounds British
I leave and bequeath to the poor of the Parish two Guineas to be distributed amongst 
the most indigent & the poorest House-Keepers
To my loving Daughter Jane Qualtrough I leave & bequeath all the rest of my Goods 
Chattles, Effects and Credits moveable & immoveable of what kind or nature soever, or in 
whatsoever hands they be or are due or owing, she paying what debts I owe & receiving 
whatever is due to me, & I do also Nominate the said Jane Qualtrough Executrix of this my last 
& Testament & I do hereby revoke all former Wills at any time made here before me  & I 
do declare & publish this to be my last Will & Testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto 
set my name this the 13th Day of Janry. 1796.

Notwithstanding what has been already left & bequeathed, my Desire & request is that 
my son Mr Ed. Qualtrough  & Daur. Miss Qualtrough shall have & Possess after my Discease 
the Horses Cattle & Sheep to be equally distributed amongst them.

The Executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law & hath given pledges for the payment of Debts
