This is affirmed to be the Last will & Testament
of Henry Qualtrough of the Parish of KK
Arbory who departed this Life the 4th day of
March being in perfect mind and memory 
at the making thereof.  First he committed 
his Soul to God and his Body to a Christian
Burial.

He left to his son John the sum of three pounds 
seven teen shillings manks which he has 
in his own hands.
He Bequeathed to his son Richard the sum of
four pounds eighteen shillings manks.
He Bequeathed to his Daughters (viz) Margret,
Cathrine and Jane twenty pounds manks 
apiece. The Testes also appointed that
if any of his children had any Goods 
mentioned to them before that each was to
have his own individually.
He Bequeathed to the Poor of the Parish the
sum of twelve shillings and threepence manks.
And Lastly he nominated & appointed his 
Son William sole Executor of all the rest of his
Goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever
as Witness our names to our marks this 9th day
of March 1798.

At a Chapter Court holden in Castletown 13th June 1798

The Exr sworn in Court in form of Law & has
given Pledges for the payment of Debts & Legacies 
namely the witnesses of this Will.

Know All men by these presents that we 
the undersigned John Qualtrough, Richd Qualtrough 
William Gell, Catherine Qualtrough and John Kegg 
do acknowledge to have received and fully paid our
different Legacies  - mentioned in the Last Will and
Testament of Henry Qualtrough of the Parish of
Arbory late Decesd.  Bearing date of the 9th Day of
March 1798 and do give the Executor of the said
will a full discharge for the same as witness 
our names this 18th June 1800.

John Moore and John Christian two of the 
Church Wardens do acknowledge to have received
the sum of twelve shillings and threepence manks   
being the amount of a Legacy left to the Poor of the 
Parish of Arbory by Henry Qualtrough above named
and so do discharge the executor of said Will for
same Witness our marks and Names this

Witnesses of the within Receipts & discharge
made oath on the holy evangelists that
Richd Qualtrough Wm Gell John Kegg

acknowledged to have received the several Legacies
mentioned.
