At an Ecclal Court holden in
the Court house in the parish of KK
Patrick on the 13th day of April
1798
John McKissack late fo the parish
of Kirk Andreas (bachelor) having departed this Island
in or about the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and eighty eight and gone into
Foreign Parts beyond seas and not been heard of
or seen since The Court presumes he hath departed
this life intestate and thereupon Decrees his
brothers and sisters namely Ross McKissack
Quayle McKissack, Robert McKissack, Catharine
McKissack and Jane McKissack joint Admors
of all and singular his goods rights credits chattles
and effects movable and immovable whatever and
they the said Ross Mckissack Quayle McKissack
Robert McKissack and James Tear husband of
the said Catharine McKissack and Matthias
Kinread husband of the said Jane McKissack
are sworn well and truly to administer the same
to pay all the said Intestat's just debts so far
forth as his goods and effects will extend and
the Law bind them and to be true and just the one
to the other in the division of the residue of
his Estate and to these ends they have given
pledges in form of law namely William
Christian junr of Ballayaanagin in the parish
of KK Bride and Charles Lace of Ballacrebbin
in the parish of KK Andreas yeoman.

The humble petition of Ross Mc
Kissack Quayle McKissack
Robt McKissack James Tear
and Catherine Tear als McKissack
his wife and Matthias Kinread
and Jane Kinread als McKissack
his wife
Sheweth
that John McKissasck brother to
your petioners departed this Island sometime in the
year one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight
or previous threto and wint into Foreigh Parts
beyond seas
That your petitioners have not since
the departure of the said John McKissack from
this Island as afd heard of or from him and your
petitioners therefore have every reason to think
that the said John McKissack hath departed
this life
That the said John McKissack was
entitled to sundry goods & effectw which ought to be
duly attended to and administered
Your petitioners therefore pray that
admin of all and singular his goods &
effects maybe granted unto your petitioners &
they shal pray

Ordered that the beforgoing petition
do come on to be heard before me at an Ecclec
Court to be holden in the Courthouse in this
parish on Friday next whereof all proper
parties and persons to have notice.
