At an Ecclal Court holden at
the Court house in the parish of KK
Patrick on the 13th day of April 1798

Joney Clucas of Port Le Mary in
the parish of Trinity Rushen (widow) having
lately departed this life intestate and the Court
having received intelligence thereof hath
Decreed her next of kin namely Ross McKissack
Quayle McKissack Robt McKissack Catharine
McKissack and Jane McKissack nephews and 
nieces of the said intestate join Administrtors
of all and singular her goods, rights, credits
chattels and effects movable and immovable
whatever and they the said Ross McKissack
Quayle McKissack Robt McKissack and James
Tear husband of the said Catharine McKissack
and Matthias Kinread husband of the said
Jane McKissack are thereupon sworn well &
truly to administer the same to pay all the
just debts of the said intestate so far forth
as her goods and effects will extend and the
Law bind them and to be true and just the one  
to the other in the division of the residue of  
her estate and to these ends they have given
pledges in form of law namely Charles lace
of Ballacrebbin in the parish of KK Andreas
and William Christian junr of ballayeanarg in
in the parish of Bride yeoman. And the
Letters of Administration pendepte sile granted of
the estate of the said intestate to the said Ross Mc
Kissack and hereby revoked and rescinded. And
Henry Clucas stepson of the said intestate is sworn
to discover render and give to the said adminstrators  
a fair just honest and full account according to the
best of his knowledge and belief of all the goods
rights credits ash chattels and effects which were
of the said Joney Clucas at the time of her decease.

          The humbel petition of Ross McKissack
          Quayle McKissack Robt McKissack
          James Tear and Cath Tear als McKissack
          his wife and Matthias Kinread and Jane
          Kinread als McKissack his wife.
Sheweth
          That Joney Clucas late of Port Le
       Mary departed this life some time ago intestate
       possessed of goods property and effects to a
       considerable amount and to which your petitioners
       as her next of kindred are legally entitled
              Your petitioner therefore humbly
              pray for a hearing of this petition
              and that administration of all and
              singular the cash goods credits &
                   whichever of the said Joney Clucas
              effects^may be granted unto your
              petitioners and they shall pray etc
10th Apr 1798

Ordered that the beforegoing petition
do come on to be heard before me at an Ecclal Court
to be holden in the Courthouse in this parish
on Friday next whereof all proper parties &
persons to have notice.
         Given at KK Patrick 11th April 1878

   Whereas sundry disputes and
difference have arisen between Wm
Clucas of Rushen of the one part
and Ross McKissack, John McKissack
Quayle McKissack, Robert mcKisack
Math Kinread and Jane Kinread
otherwise McKissack his wife and
James Tear and Cath Tear otherwise
McKissack his wife of the other part
respecting the estate and effects
which was of Joney Clucas
late of Port St Mary in the parish
of Rushen widow deceased.
   And whereas the said parties
have agreed to put and end to
their said dispute and difference
and to settle .... in an amicable
manner. Be it therefore known
unto all men by these presents
that as the said Wm Clucas, Ross
McKissack, Quayle McKissack,
Robert McKissack, John McKissack
Maths Kinread and James Tear
have agreed, constituted and
concluded that all disputes
and difference respecting the sd
estate and effects shall from the
day of the date hereof .... and
.......
And we the said parties do
hereby covenant, concur and
agree that the whole of the personal estate
proprpery, goods, chattles and effect
of which the sd Joney Clucas died
seized and possessed of or entitled
unto shall forthwith be inventored
appraised and sold to the best
advantage by and under the super=
intendance of the said Wm Clucas
and Ross McKissack a sufficient
part of the proceed of the said sale
to be first applied towards the
payment and discharge of the costs
charges and resonable expenses
which have already and then after
shall be incurred by the sd Wm Clucas
and Ross McKissack and the 
remainder and residue of the
estate to be difived equally to
and amongs the said Wm Clucas
Ross mcKissack, John McKissack
Quayle McKissack, Robt McKissack
Math: Kinread and James Tear share
and share alike in equal
and fair proprtion - and it is hereby
further agreed upon that the sd Wm Clucas
doth hereby consent and agree to
give up and deliver to the aid Ross
McKissack, Robt McKissack, Math
Kinrade and James Tear all and 
every the wearing apparel and clothes
of the sd Joney Clucas - they in
return or in lieu thereof hereby
consent and agree that the ... Wm
Clucas shall retain to his own proper
use and .... a cow and feather
bed - and for the true and faithful
performance hereof we the said
parties do hereby bind and oblige
ourselves our Exor, admors and
assigns in and under the penalty as 
forfitue of five hundred pounds lawful
currency of Great Britain to be levied and
paid accordng to law.
