65 Jurby The 11th of March 1799. The last will and testament of Christian Kelly otherwise Cowle wife of William Kelly of Ballahasney in the parish of Jurby being sick in body but of sound disposing mind memory and understanding made the same in manner following: First she committed her soul to God and body to Christian burial. She bequeathed and left to her son William Kelly her part as proportion of certain premises of intack situate in Lezayre called Close Hom. She willed to her daughter Mary Qualtrough otherwise Kelly six pounds . To her daughter Catharine Kelly seven pounds and the testatrix part of the money she and her husband William Teare had in their hands belonging to the said William Kelly and the testatrix together with a feather bed, bolster, and bedding. She bequeathed to her said daughter Catharine and Mary all and every her cloathes shaped and unshaped woolen and linen whatever. She left to her granddaughter Christian Teare a sheep and a lamb. To her granddaughter Catharine Kelly a sheep and a lamb. To her granddaughterıs Mary and Margaret Qualtrough a sheep and a lamb each. To her daughter Catharine the big barrel that was on the north loft and the white chest on the south loft and one of the pewter dishes. She bequeathed to her daughter in law the wife of her son William the dresser and what was therein so far as she was concerned. To her daughter Mary one of the single oak chairs. To her two maid servantıs Jane and Elizabeth Moore five shillings each. To her said husband William Kelly the web of cloth in the house. To her granddaughter Mary Qualtrough twenty shillings. To each person claiming any right to her effects legally six pence. And lastly she nominated constituted and appointed her said husband William Kelly sole and whole executor and residuary legatee of this her last will and testament and half a crown each to the witnesses of this will. Witnesses: John Christian William Lawson his x mark Jurati At a Chapter court holden at KK Michael Nov 4th 1799. The exor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges or the payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of the will. Probatum est Thos Cubbon.
