Know all men by these presents that I Joney
Skillicorn of the Town of Douglas for and in
consideration of the love regard and affection
which I have and bear unto my nephew Pat. Brew
smith have given granted and by these presents
do freely clearly and absolutely give and grant
unto the said Pat. Brew all and singular my
goods chattels sum and sums of money and all
other things dead or alive whatsoever as well
moveable and immoveable whatsoever they be and
in whose hands custody or possession soever the
same or ay of them can or may be found, To have
and to hold all the said goods chattels sum and
sums of money and all other the premes unto the
said Patrick Brew his executors administrators
and assigns after my decease to his and their
given proper use and .... forever absolutely
freely and quietly without any challenge or demand
of any person or persons whatsoever and this in
the penalty of sixty pounds sterling to be levied
and paid according to Law.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
this 19th May 1797.

Joney Skillicorn acknowledged the foregoing Deed of
Gift to be her Act and Deed.

1798:
The .... written Deed of Gift geing acknowledged before
the High Bailif, ,,, .... published in Court and no
objection .... it, The same is therefore ordered to be
recorded for the benefit of all persons concerned.

At a Chapter Court holden at
Douglas Oct 29th 1798
The before going Deed of Settlement having been
lawfully proved the same is accepted as the last
will and testament of Janet Skillicorn the Donor.
Patrick Brew the Donee is sworn in Court in form
of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of
debts namely John Clucas of Ballanicolas and
John Kermod of Ballachronk both of Marown.
