The Last Will and Testament of Jane Scarffe als Killip of the Parish of KK
Lonan who Died on or about May 1st (?) 1798 which she declared a few days
before her Death, being sick & weka at the making thereof, But of a sound
disposing mind and Memory
She first committed her Soul to God and her Body to Christian Burial and as
to her worldly Goods and Effects she left & Bequeathed them in this manner
following
She left and Bequeathed her blue & white striped Gown to Jane Killip and
further left six pence Legacy to any Person or Persons that might claim a
just Right to her Effects hereafter
And lastly she Nominated and appointed her only son William Scarffe whole
and sole Executor of all the rest of her Gods & effects movable & immovable
of what kind or Nature soever

At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas June 5, 1799
Notwithstanding this will is proved but by one witness yet as no Objection
has been offered the Exor is sworn in Court in form of Law & hath given
Pledges for paymt of Debts & Legacies namely Joseph Clague the witness &
Philip Scarffe both of KK Lonan
