Ramsey May 2nd 1798
This is affirmed to be the last Will and Testament
of Catherine Crow Widow in the Town of Ramsey
who is weak in body but of sound mind and
memory at the making hereof---
First She Commits Her Soul to god and her body to a
Christian Burial---
Item she leaves and bequeaths to her three sons
namely William, Charles & Edward Crowe five shillings
each--- Item she leaves and bequeaths to her Daughter
Esther Crowe the Room over the Parlour during
the time she continues unmarried but if she
marries she is to give up her Claim to the said Room
and her brother John Crowe is to give or pay her the
sum of Four Pounds Manx currency in Lieu of the
same Item she leaves and bequeaths to her said
daughter Esther the best Feather bed, together with the
beding & furniture to the same belonging-lastly
she nominates constitutes ordains and appoints
her son John Crowe Executor of all the rest of her wordly
goods Chattels & Effects of what kind or denomination
soever moveable and unmoveable-------

The Executor is sworn in Court in form
of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of
debts and Legacies namely Thomas Killip and
James Gill both of the Town of Ramsey
