To the Reverend John Crellin Vicar General
of this Isle ~
the humble petition of Elzabeth Garret of Lezayre
(most humbly Sheweth ) that Mary Garret of Lezayre
aforsd  yr petrs mother departed this Life
on or about the 19th of June 1802 and previous
thereto made her will and appointed yr petr
Executrix of her Last will and testament
That your petr did attend the Chapter Court
holden at Lezayre the 29th of June aforesd yr
petr was informed by the sd Court that the
will may not be taken in untill 14 day would
be over after her decease
that yr petr was obliged to yr Reverence
for relief in the premises that yr petr may ^be sworn
Executrix of her sd mothers Last will and
Testament that she may be enabled to pay of
and discharge her funeral Charges dates and
Legacies ~

            Yr petr therefore most humbly prayeth
            Yr Reverence to take her case to yr
            Most tender and Judicious consideration
            And to be graciously pleased to grant
            Revd order to Charge the next of Kinn
            And the witnesses of sd will to prove the
            Same at the next Court or hearing
            Day in the parish of KK Bride before
            Yr Revdce that yr petr may be Sworn
            Executrix that she may pay of and discharge
            The dates as aforesd and yr petr shall be
            Duty bound ever pray &c


Ordered that the matter of this Petition do come
on to be heard at KK Bride on Saturday 
the 17th July instant whereof all proper
parties and persons to have due Notice
           Given at KK Bride 3d July 1802

The Pettition of Danl Tease of the Parish of KK Andreas  I have
Charg’d Danl Tease Philip Sayle & wife Elinr Tease Jane Tease
Esther Tease and Charles Tease & Wm Cormode all of Andreas to
Appear before your Reverence at the Court house in the parish
of KK Bride Upon a Saturday next by Two oclock in the Forenoon
sd day  this I aver this 15th day of July 1802

Lezayre

       In the name of god Amen
       I mary ^ Garret wife of wm Garret of Ballacarbara
       in the parish of KK  Christ Lezayre being Sick and
       wake in body but of perfect mind and memory
       do make this my Last will and Testament
       in manner and form following

first  I recommend my soul to god and my body
       to Christian burial~
Item   I leave and Bequeath to my Loving ~
       Husband wm Garret all the profits and
       Benefits of all my part of the Lands ~
       During his natural Life as Legacy 
Item   I leave and bequeath to my Grandson wm
       Garret the sum of one pound four shillings
       And six to put him to School And in case he
       Dies before the sd Sum be lead towards that
       Purpose the remainder thereof to become due
       to her daughter Elizabeth
Item   I leave and bequeath to all claimers six
       Pence Legacy and to the witnesses hereof
       two shillings each
Lastly I nominate and ordain and appoint my
       Dutiful and well beloved Daughter Elizabeth
       Garret Sole and Lawful Executrix
       of all the rest of my goods of what Kind
       or nature soever in witness where of I have 
       hereunto set my name and mark this
       25th of January 1802

Notwithstanding this Will has been proved by one
Witness only yet as no objection has been offered thereto
The Executrix is sworn in Court in form
of Law and hath given pledges for the payment
of Debts and Legacies namely John Kneale
the witness and John Garrett brother of the
Executrix
