In the name of God Amen
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Judy Shimmin als
Corlett of the parish of KK Michael she being of perfect mind and memory at
the making hereof.
First she committed her soul to God and body to Christian burial.
Item: - She left to her son William the sum of three guineas as legacy.
Item:  She left to her son Thomas the sum of two guineas and a red diamond
quilt and all that was in his hand as legacy.
Item: She left to her son Phillip the heifer that is in Mount P---------
free from her executors for next summer with a sheep and lamb as
legacy.
Item:  She left to her son Robert the sum of four guineas and a young sheep
and lamb of the sheep between herself and her son John as legacy. Item:  She
left to her son John her part of the sheep between them accept the sheep and
lamb to her son Robert but in case he makes a dispute with her children in
the will he is cut out with one shilling legacy.
Item: She left to her daughter Elizabeth the sum of four guineas and a
quilt and a blanket in Douglas and a chest which we call the white chest
and the little spinning wheel with a sheep and a lamb as legacy.
Item:  She left to her daughter Isabel the sum of four guineas with the
bed on which she laid with the cloth and tick and timber as she now is,
with a chest at the rear is in with the big wheel and check reel and the
swifts as legacy.
Item:  She left to her two daughters Isabel and Elizabeth her cloth
woolen and linen and the clip wool between them and to give a suit of
cloth of the said wool to her son Robert as legacy.
Lastly she nominated and appointed her son Hugh and her daughter Isabel sole
executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever and
one shilling each to the witnesses.

At a Chapter Court holden at Kk Michael Nov 15 1803.
The executors are sworn in court in form of law and also guardians and
supervisors of the children who are under age likewise to be true and
just the one to the other in the division of the effects and have given
pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of
the will.                  Probatum est

Thomas Shimmin acknowledges to have rec'd from Hugh Shimin one of the
executors of the will of Joney Shimmin deceased the whole of the legacy
bequeathed unto him in the said will and exonerates acquits and
discharges the said Hugh Shimmin and every other person of the same
and every part thereof.  Witness his name and mark this 16th Feb 1805.
