KK German} At a Chapter Court holden in
The Parish of KK Patrick on the
11th Day of Novr 1803 ~
Edmond Garrett of the Parish of
KK German having departed this Life on or
about the 10th Day of September last past
Intestate and the Court having received Intelligence
thereof hath Decreed his six Children namely
John Philip William Thomas Charles and
and also the child or children of which their mother is [bearing]
Catherine Garratt ^Co administrators of all
and singular his goods Rights Credits Chattels
and Effects movable and immovable whatever
and the said Children being under Age their said
Mother namely Mary Garrett is sworn their
Guardian and Supervisor and in Trust for them
well and truly to administer the Estate of the said
Intestate to exhibit a full true and perfect
Inventory thereof into the Episcopal Registry
and to pay all his just Debts so far forth as
his goods and Effects will extend and the Law
bind her and to these Ends She hath given
Pledges in Form of Law namely Wm Garrett
brother of the said Intestate and Nicholas Cowley
both of KK German

Widow
Sheweth
That your petitioner’s Husband
Edmond Garrett Departed this Life about
The 24th of Sept. 1803 having a Laerge family of
Small children who were co Admrs of his
goods and Effects that said children are all
under age and said Effects is not Equal to
maintain said Children without help your
Petr for the Benefit of said Children is Desir-
ous that your Reverence would be Graciously
Pleased to Allow your petr the Tuition of said
Children and their Dividend of the sd Effects for
the better supporting and motherly care over
said Helpless children which causeth your
Petitioner to apply to your Reverence for
Relief
Your petr Humbly Prays that your
Reverence may be Graciously pleased to
Take the Matter into ^your judicious consideration
and their proportion of said Effects with such
other relief in the premises as to your Revnce that
seem meet and your petr shall ever pray &c
At an Ecclal Court holden
in the Parish of KK Patrick on
the 24th Day of August 1804
Upon hearing the beforegoing Petition
In the Presence of the Petitioner and of the
guardians of the said Children and upon reading
the Inventory of the Estate of the said Decedent
and upon Consideration had therof as also of
what was pleaded argued alledged and admitted
by and on Behalf of the said Parties respectively
the Court doth think proper hereby to grant the
Tuition of the said Children to the Petitioner and
To allow her the annual Sum of one Pound and
Ten shillings for each of the said children
Towards their Clothing Maintenance & Education
out of the said Estate until they respectively
attain the Age of fourteen years.
To be annex’d to the Letters of
