The Honorable Petition of George Garrett
of Peeltown ~
Sheweth
That your Petrs wife Alice Garrett Departed this
life on the 26th November last past intestate and as
your Petr hath a small family and perishing properly
to take care of your Petr is desirous that a Decree
may be made in your Court and that Guardians may
be sworn on her Children in order to Give in a true
Inventory of her Goods and Effects
your Petr therefore most Humbly ^ prays that
your Reverence will be Graciously pleas
ed to Grant and order on the sd Petition
and that the next of kin may be
summoned so soon as to your Reverence
shall seem meet the Granting of which

will cause your your Petrs for ^Revernence
Health and Happiness ever to pray &c
Ordered that the beforegoing Petition
do come on to be heard an Ecclesiastical
Court to be holden in the Court house in this
Parish on Friday next whereof all proper
Parties and Persons to have due Notice ~

December 1803.
Alice Garrett of Peeltown having
departed this life on or about the 26th Day
of the Month of November lastn past
Intestate ad the Court having received
Intelligence thereof hath Decreed her three
Children namely James Jane and Catherine
Garrett Co-administrators of all and singular
her Goods, Rights, Credits, Chattels and Effects
movable and immovable whatever and they being
under Age, George Garrett their Father is sworn
their Guardian and Supervisor and in Trust for
them well and truly to administer the Estate of
the said Intestate, to exhibit a full, true and
perfect Inventory thereof into the Episcopal
Registry and to pay all her just Debts so
far forth as her Goods and Effects will extend
and the Law bind him and to these Ends he
hath given Pledges in Form of Law namely
William Skillicorn and John Wade both of Peeltown.
Thomas Mylchreest and William Quirk
Uncles to the said Orphans on their Mother’s
Side are likewise sworn their Guardians and
Supervisors.
