This is the last will and testament of me William Bacon of Douglas made and
published by me this twenty eighth day of May in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and five whereby I revoke and make void all former
wills by me at any time heretofore made.
I give and bequeath unto my Dear Father John Joseph Bacon Esq and to his
wife Ann Bacon alias Cosnahan each a mourning ring of five guineas value.
I give and bequeath unto my sister Mrs Frances Grier the sum of twenty
pounds British and to each of her four children a suit of mourning.
I give and bequeath unto my sister Christian Bristow the wife of Samuel
Bristow Esq two guineas to buy a mourning ring.
I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Cathrine Bacon all my goods,
credits, chattels and effects of what nature or description soever. And I
do also nominate, constitute, and appoint my said wife Cathrine sole
executrix and residuary legatee of this my will. In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hands and seal at Douglas the day and year aforesaid.
