Last Will and Testament of Thomas McNell and Dorothy McNell

We, Thomas McNell and Dorothy McNell alias Wilson, of the Parish of St. Ann, 
being in good health, of sound mind and memory, but thinking of the uncertainty 
of life are mutually disposed to make our Last Will and Testament in manner 
following;

First we commit our Trust in God and our bodies to Christian Burial,

Secondly we leave and bequeath unto our son Isaac McNell, all and singular those 
purchased Lands belonging to us in Kirk St. Ann that we purchased from Tho. 
Kneal of Kirk Lonan with the houses and offices thereon erected to be possessed 
by him free and debtless in manner following viz the one half thereof at the 
Decease of the former of us, the said Thomas McNell and Dorothy McNell, and the 
other half free and debtless at the Decease of the survivor of us, hereby 
binding our said son that he will not sell or mortgage the same, but to descend 
as inheritance to his Lawful Heir;

Item, We leave to our said son Isaac that parcel of Land of Knock Fa'eie that we 
purchased from Alex Thom and Esther Thom, alias Bridson his wife, to be 
possessed by him in like manner, the one half there at the Death of the former, 
and the other half at the Death of the survivor of us.

Item, we leave and bequeath to our son Thomas all of our ???? of Houses and 
Lands in the Parish of Kirk Lonnan called Gretch bane and Ballabaybane that we 
purchased from Thomas Cowin and Elizabeth his wife, if he lives and comes home 
from abroad, binding him that he will never sell nor Mortgage the same but to 
descend as inheritance to his Lawful heir. Moreover, that our said son Thomas is 
to possess the same in this manner, viz the one half at the Death of the former 
and the other half at the Death of the survivor of us,

and we further Leave on our son Thomas to pay unto his sister Ellinor's three 
sons namely Thomas, Mathias and John Kelley twenty pounds apiece to be paid unto 
them when the youngest of them comes to the age of twenty one years; we Leave to 
our son in law William Kelley one shilling; we Leave to our grand Daughter vis 
Thomases Daughter a gown a fan and handkerchief

Lastly we appoint our two sons Isaac and Thomas McNell whole Executors of all 
the rest of our worldly goods moveable and immoveable of what  ???? ????, and 
that our Executor is to have nothing to say any of the goods but the Lands as 
aformentioned until the Death of the Survivor of us, excluding any person that 
might claim any Interest in our wills with six pence legacy a piece ???? and 
Declared by the Testator and Testatrix to be their Last Will and Testament in 
the presence of us and ????? us to witness the same
