Braddan
Noncuprative will of Mary Hampton wife of Matthias Hampton of BallaQuiggin
of the parish of KK Braddan as follows:
I leave and bequeath unto my husband Matthias Hampton the bed bedding and
bested and curtain I now lye on.
I leave and bequeath unto my son Nicholas Hampton of the parish of KK
Maughold the sum of five pounds.
I leave and bequeath unto my niece Mary Bridson daughter of William Bridson
of Malew all my wearing apparel of all description or nature whatsoever.
I leave and bequeath unto the poor of the parish the sum of five shillings
Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my dutiful and
affectionate son Simon Hampton of the town of Douglas sole and whole
executor of this my last will and testament an residuary legatee of all
the rest of my affects goods chattels and credits of what kind or nature so
ever hereby revoking all other former will or wills by me made null
and void and declaring this to be my only last will and testament.
And in case any person or persons shall claim in this my last will and
testament I do hereby cut off him or with two shilling and six pence.
Published and declared by the testatrix in our presence the 13 day of
November 1801.
Published by the testatrix as her last will and testament in the
presence of us:

At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas June 20th 1808.
The executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the
payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of the will.
