In the name of most Holy and blessed trinity three persons and one God Amen.
I Paul Taggart of the parish of KK Malew being infirm in health and weak
in body but ye of sound and disposing mind and memory that God and calling
to mind the uncertainty of this mortal life and in order to settle
my worldly goods and effects doth therefore make this my last will and
testament as in manner following:
First I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to my son Richard Taggart a black mair called
Rose and a grey mair to be possessed by him at Nov next ensuing the date
hereof two in calf cows and the quarter of all my sheep and to
his son John Taggart I leave the sum of five pounds and my watch and
also to the said Richard's two daughters vizt Issabel and Elizabeth I
leave the sum of five pounds a piece.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Anne Gell a feather bed, bed
cloaths, and a bedstead during her life time and to her daughter Anne
Brew after her motheršs death but if the said Anne Brew will not live to
possess the said bed bedstead and bed cloaths that then and in that case
I leave the same to my grandson John Maddrell and to my said daughter Anne
Gell I leave the sum of a guinea yearly during her lifetime.
Fourthly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Maddrell the sum
of twenty pounds and to her son William Maddrell I leave the sum of five
pounds and my clock and to my grandson John Maddrell the sum of five pounds
and to the aforesaid Anne Brew the sum of five pounds.  And to
my two grand children the children of Paul Bridson vixt Richard and
Elizabeth I leave the sum of forty shillings a piece and all the aforesd
legacies bequeathed to my grand children are not be paid unto them until
they arrive to the full age of twenty one years.
Lastly I leave and bequeath to my loving and affectionate wife Margaret
Taggart all the rest of all my worldly goods chattels credits and effects
movable and immoveable whatsoever and I do hereby nominate and
appoint her my said wife Margt Taggart to be whole and sole executrix
thereof and excluding all cravers with six pence a piece as legacy and in
witness whereof I have hereunto caused my mark to be sett to my name this
23d January 1808.

At an Eccl Court holden in the parish of KK Patrick on  the 11th day of
March 1808.  The executrix is sworn in court in form of law and hath
given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely William Taggart
one of the said witnesses and John Maddrell of Malew

Isabella Taggart rec'd 12 Apr 1825 five pounds.
Elizabeth Taggart rec'd 20 May 1828  five pounds.
John Taggart rec'd  30 Jun 1827  five pounds.
William Maddrell  rec'd 1 Dec 1836 five pounds.
John Maddrell rec'd 1 Nov 1831 five pounds.
