At a Court holden at Charles Keivens in the parish of Kirk Bride on Saturday the 16th 
day of Jan 1808.
	Charles Radcliffe of the parish of KK Andreas having perished by sea in or 
about the month of Sept last past intestate and the court having intelligence thereof 
hath decreed his children namely Charles and Jane Radcliffe co–administrators of all 
and singular his goods chattels and effects movable and immovable what ever who 
being underage Catherine Radcliffe their mother is sworn their guardian and 
supervisor as also in trust for them well and truly to administer the estate of the 
intestate to return a true and perfect inventory thereof to the Registry of this court and 
to pay all his just debts as far forth as his goods and effects will extend and the Law 
shall bind her. To which end she hath given pledges in form of law namely William
Radcliffe of the parish KK Andreas and John Moore of the parish of KK Bride. 
Charles Radcliffe their grandfather is also sworn guardian and supervisor of the said 
minors.

To the Reverend John Crellin Vicar general

The humble petition of Catherine Radcliffe of the parish of KK Andreas (widow of 
the late Charles Radcliffe jr. of Balla Kelley of the _____ parish deceased..

Shewith that your petitioners husband the said Charles Radcliffe departed this life in 
the month of Sept last past intestate and left your petitioner and the effects 
appertaining to him in a very unsettled state and also your petitioner laboring under 
the care or providing fort two children who are under age named Charles Radcliffe 
and Jane Radcliffe that the goods and effects of the deceased are in a way of 
perishing for want of some proper person or persons authorized by law to take care of 
them all which have caused your petitioner to apply to your reverence for relief in the 
premises.
Your said petitioner therefore humbly pray that your reverence will be graciously 
pleased to take this matter into your most judicious and tender consideration grant a  
____ hearing thereof that n administration may be granted of the effects of the 
deceased to the next of kin and that some proper person or persons may be authorized 
by law and sworn guardians and supervisors of the said children under age or such 
other relief in the premises to your Reverences pleasure shall think or seen just and 
your [petioner] as bound in  _____ shall pray etc.

Ordered that the matters of this petitioner do come to be heard at a court to be holden 
at the court house in KK Bride on Saturday next whereof all proper parties and 
persons to have notice.
