35      Arbory
In the name of God Amen.
This second day of November one thousand eight hundred and nine.   I Ellinor
Maddrell of BallaMaddrell in the parish of Kirk Arbory being weak
in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God therefore
calling to mind the mortality of the body - do make and ordain this my last
will and testament, that is to say, first of all I give and recommend my
soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to
the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial.
And as touching such worldly effects as it hath pleased God to bless me with
in this life, I give and dispose of the same in the following manner
and form:
Item I give and bequeath unto my son Henry Maddrell the sum of thirty
pounds.
Item:  I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Gell alias Maddrell the sum of
forty pounds and my best chist with what is in it.
Item: I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Gell my granddaughter the sum of ten
pounds.
Item:  I give and bequeath to Frank Moore my grandson the sum of ten pounds.
Item I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Moore my granddaughter the sum of ten
pounds.
Item:  I give and bequeath to Ellinor Cubbon my niece the sum of five
pounds.
Item:  I give and bequeath to Easter Mylechreest my late servant five
pounds.
Item:  I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Moore the sum of one
guinea.
Item:  I leave unto the aforesaid Henry Maddrell my son a feather bed two
sheets two blankets and one quilt.
Lastly I nominate and constitute and appoint my beloved son John
Maddrell my whole and sole executor of all the rest of my goods
moveable and immoveable of what kind or denomination so ever cutting
off all other claimers by affinity with six pence legacy a piece.

I Margt Melling (The mother of the legatee Easter Mylchreest mentioned
in the before going will) do hereby acknowledge to be fully paid and
satisfied the amount of the legacy bequeathed to the said Easter Mylchreest
at by and from the hands of John Maddrell the executor of the said will.
Witness my name hereunto set and subscribed this 6th day of August 1810
