This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Simon Hampton of
the town of Douglas lately deceased who was in perfect sound mind and memory
at the making and pronouncing thereof  being on the 30th day of June last
past.
First He committed his soul to Almighty God and his body to Christian
burial.
Secondly He left and bequeathed to any person or persons having any
claim whatever to his will or effects the sum of two shillings and six
pence each.
Lastly He nominated constituted and appointed his loving wife Elizabeth
Hampton whole and sole executrix of all his effects movable and
immovable be the same of what denomination soever, and the said testator
published pronounced and declared this to be his last will and testament in
our presence who departed this life on 2nd day of July instant.  Witness our
subscription and marks this the 6th day of July
1811.
