This affirmed to be the last Will of
Alice Lawson of the town of
Douglas - being weak in body but
of sound mind and memory at the
publishing thereof - She left and devised
to the Four Children of Thomas Quirk
her brother in Law equally between
them All that house and yard situate
in Great Nelson Street of Douglas aforesaid
fomerly known by Anthony Lawson's
house - and which premises she willed
and desired should be sold and disposed
of after her death for the benefit and
advantage fo the said Four Children
the proudce whereof equally to be
divided between them without difference
or distinction - mentioning also
- the said four children to be her
sister Nancy's children - (wife to the
said Thomas Quirk) -
Item - The said Testatrix left and
Bequeathed to Catharine Quirk
daughter of Thomas Quirk herein-
-beofre-named, her niece, all the
bed and bedding - furniture
and clothes which she might die
possessed of - and all other her goods
an effects whatsover - And she
left and Bequeathed unto each & every
person lawfully claiming under her will
one shillng british each - And the
said testratrix publishes such her
will in presence of John Cain and
Margaret Cain and desired them
to bear witness to the same - on
the nineteenth of May 1812
