I Margaret Quayle of the parish of Kirk Michael widow and relict of John
Quayle (Sill) of the said parish deceased being of sound and disposing mind
memory and understanding do make my last will and testament in manner
following:
FIRST - I commend my soul to Almighty God and my body to Christian burial.
ITEM - I give devise and bequeath unto my son Thomas Quayle all my right or
moriety of that certain parcel of land which my late husband and I purchased
from Thos Kelly being a part of the quarterland of Ballachoan in the said
parish to be possessed by him or his heirs at my decease- ITEM - I give,
devise, and bequeath unto my daughter Christian wife of John Cannell all
that certain parcel of land which I myself purchased from William Corlett
commonly called Cronk-ny-Rhees being a part of the quarterland of Ballalheig
in the said parish to be possessed by her or her heirs and assigns at my
decease.
ITEM - I leave to my son John Quayle two shillings and six pence British as
legacy.
ITEM - I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Jane wife of John Cannell
(Chester) a legacy of one guinea.
ITEM - I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Cannon whatever sum of
money or goods she may have received from me.
ITEM - I give and bequeath unto Jane Quayle daughter of my said son John one
guinea.
ITEM -  I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Jane Corris one guinea -
ITEM - I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter Elizabeth Quayle daughter
of my said son John one guinea -
ITEM - I leave to my daughter Ann two shillings and six pence British.
LASTLY - I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Christian Cannell all the
rest residue and remainder of my goods, rights, credits, chattels cash and
effects moveable and immoveable whatever and I do nominate constitute and
appoint her the said Christian Cannell executrix of this my will.  And I
leave two shillings and six pence British to each of the witnesses of my
said will.  In testimony whereof I have caused my name and mark to be
hereunto subscribed and set this 9th day of February 1811 -  Margt Quayle
her X mark.
Published and declared by the said Margt Quayle as and for her last will and
testament in our presence who at her request in her presence and in the
presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnessess hereto:
Edm'd Skillicorn his X mark and Wm Kewley
At KK Michael 27th Oct 1872 -
John Cannell husband of the executrix named in this will is sworn in court
in form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies
namely the witnesses of the will.      Probatum est   T Stephen.
