Castletown 1812

The last Will and Testament of Thomas Curry Snr of Ballasalla in the parish of 
Malew who departed this life on the 12th day of January 1812 and who was 
sound and perfect both in mind and memory the making hereof.

First  He committed his soul to Almighty God and his body to 
Christian burial.

Secondly and lastly he constituted nominated and appointed his loving 
wife Isabella Curry, alias Creer to be the whole and sole heir and executrix of 
all his goods and effects, movable and immovable of what kind and nature 
soever they be.  To be enjoyed by her as her right and property - and he 
debarred and excluded any other person or persons with five shillings legacy 
who shall sue to the contrary hereof.

At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown 3rd June 1812 -

The executrix is sworn in Court in Form of Law and hath given pledges for the 
payment of debts and legacies, namely Quayle Stowell, one of the witnesses 
and William Taggart, both of Malew.
