31 Ballaugh
The 11th day of November 1812.
The last will and testament of Jane Clark widow and relict of Thos Clark
of Ballavolley in the parish of Ballaugh which she declared before us the
subscribing witnesses hereof - who being weak and infirm in body but
of perfect sound mind and memory at the makeing hereof.
First she committed her soul to God and body to Christian burial.
Secondly she left and bequeathed to her son John Clark her part of the
harrows which is now between them also she left to her said son two
and six pence.
She left and bequeathed to her daughter Jane fourteen or fifteen
shillings also she willed to her said daughter all her woolen clothes
except her new cloak which she reserves from the same likewise to her said
daughter she left her aprons and handkerchiefs reserving the rest of her
linen clothes likewise from the same. She left and bequeathed to her son
Thos Clark one guinea who is at present off the isle if he shall hereafter
arrive unto the isle in case he shall not return his two children
to have the foresaid legacy equally between them.
She left and bequeathed to her daughter Elinor a blankett which she hath
in her present possession also to her said daughter she left two and six
pence
She left and bequeath to her daughter Margery(Mary?) and her daughter
Catherine two and six pence each.
She left one shilling legacy to any person who would strive or desire to
break this her last will and testament.
And to the witnesses hereof one shilling each.
Lastly she nominated appointed and ordained her daughter Esther to be whole
and sole executrix of all the rest of her worldly goods moveable
and immoveable of what nature or denomination soever.

At an Eccl Court holden at Ramsey the 11th Dec 1812.
John Quayle husband of Esther of the above named executrix is sworn executor
in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the payments of debts and
legacies namely the witnesses of the will.
