In the name of God Amen     6 May 1812 
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of me Patrick Cowley
of the parish of Michael who being of perfect mind and memory at the making
hereof.
First He committed his soul unto God and his body to a Christian burial.
Item  - He left and bequeathed to his loving wife his part of the sheep
and the household furniture as legacy.
Item - He left and bequeathed to his son John Cowley his part of the
lands purchased and to pay twenty pounds to his daughter Ann and ten pounds
to his son Patrick, but in case he refuseth to pay the sum of
thirty pounds for the lands that the foresaid Ann and Patrick is to have the
lands.
Item - He left to his son William the sum of ten shillings and six pence
as legacy.
Item - He left to his daughter Jane the sum of four pounds four shillings
British as legacy.
Item - He left to his daughter Catherine the sum of ten shillings and six
pence British as legacy.
Item - He left to his daughter Margaret the sum of two pounds two
shillings British as legacy.
Item - He left to his grandson John Neal (Kneale) the sum of two pounds two
shillings as legacy.
Item - He left to four grandchildren by his son Thos Cowley the sum of
five shillings each as legacy.
Lastly He nominated and appointed his loving wife Margaret Cowley and
his son John Cowley sole executors of all the rest of his goods moveable and
immoveable whatsoever.
And six pence legacy to any person or persons who might claim any right to
his effects.
