This affirmed to be the last will and testament of Joseph Qualtrough of the
Corvalley in the parish of Rushen who departed this life on Sunday morning
last being the 22nd day of December One Thousand eight Hundred and Eleven in
direct and made and published by him the said Joseph Qualtrough in our
presence some time on or about the 15th day of Nov 1811 and now last past
and committed to writing by us the witnesses this Twenty Sixth day of
December 1811.
He left and bequeathed unto his son in law John Crebbin and Jane his wife
the sum of eighty four pounds British as a legacy and he discharged the said
John Crebbin and Jane his wife from all manner of claim which he the said
Joseph Qualtrough had against them on account of a mortgage which he had in
the lands of the said John Crebbin or otherwise.
He left and bequeathed unto the poor of the parish of Rushen the sum of one
pound one shilling British.
And he appointed his son William Qualtrough whole and sole executor of his
goods rights credits chattels and effects.
In witness whereof, we the said witnesses, have here unto subscribed our
names, the 26th day of December One thousand eight hundred and eleven
aforesaid.

At a Chapter Court holden in Castletown June 3d 1812.
Notwithstanding this will proved but by one witness yet no objection being
offered thereto the executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given
pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely John Cooil and Wm Kelly
one of the witnesses of this will.
Probatum  est  Thos Cubbon

Received from William Qualtrough the sum of eighty four pounds British being
a legacy bequeathed to me and Jane my wife in and by the last will of Joseph
Qualtrough deceased dated 26 December 1811.  And we do therefore hereby
exonerate and discharge the said Wm Qualtrough of and from the further
payment of said legacy and do cancel the said will so far as relate to the
said legacy on record.
As witness our names this June 1814.
