I Esther Quinney of Ballacrine in the parish of KK Santan being of sound
mind memory and understanding having taken into consideration the
uncertainty of mortal life do make and publish the following to be my last
will and testament.
First I commit my sons to the hands of Almighty God my Creator and my body
to a Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to my sister Mary Cain all my wearing apparel
and the money that belongs to me likewise the legacy that my father has left
to me in his will.  Lastly I do nominate constitue and appoint the aforesaid
Mary Caine whole and sole executrix of all the rest of my worldly goods and
effects debaring all cravers with the sum of two shillings and six pence as
a legacy in witness whereof I have subscribed my name or my mark this the
1st of February one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine 1839.

At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown on the 29th day of May 1839. Mary
Caine the executrix in the foregoing will named is sworn in court in form of
law well and truly to execute and fulfil the last will and testament of
Esther Quinney deceased to pay all her just debts legacies and funeral
expences so far as the goods and effects of the deceadent will extend and
the law bind her and to do all the acts and deeds pertaining to the office
of executrix according to law and to these ends she has given pledges namely
the witnesses of the will.
