The Last Will and Testament of Daniel Lace of 
Balla??rrby in the Parish of KK Andreas being 
of sound disposing mind and memory at the making hereof
First I commit my soul to Almighty God who gave 
it and my body to decent Christian Burial after 
the mind and will of my Executor and for 
such worldly goods as it has behooved God to 
bless me with I dispose of the same in the manner 
hereafter mentioned.
1st Leave and bequeath to my sister Margaret the 
wife of Mitchel Lace Twenty shillings Legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son Daniel Two 
shillings and sixpence legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son John Two shillings 
and six pence likewise a Chest called Billy's chest Legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son Charles Two shillings 
and six pence Legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son Thomas the bed 
whereon he himself sleeps with the Bed and Clothes 
belonging to the same Legacy
I leave and bequeath to my wife Catherine the whole 
??? and benefit to my Rights and share of a Parcel 
of Intack land called Lough e Carran with the building 
thereon during her life time and likewise all the goods 
and effects which she had before our marriage 
together with a sheep with lamb according to her own 
choosing.
I leave and bequeath unto my wife aforesaid and our 
Children namely Enos and Mary all of the provisions 
in the house and likewise the Potatoes together with 
all other Eatables in the House likewise a sack with 
wheat flour in the house and all the wool and the 
sheets and Fifteen pounds  of Ru?? Flax for their 
own use and not to be Appraised, Legacy.
I leave and bequeath with the ????? ???? ??? of my 
wife Catherine unto our two children Enos and Mary 
at the ??? ??? of our personal goods of what kind 
or description so even after all of our just debts 
and legacies to be paid and satisfied out of the same 
to be theirs equally between them share and share 
alike and not to receive the said legacies until they 
succesfully arrive at the age of one and twenty years 
excepting the interests that arrive from the same with 
Two pounds each yearly which we allow to be spent upon 
Enos and Mary toward their schooling and clothing for 
the First four years legacy.
I leave and bequeath with the joint consent of my wife 
Catherine aforesaid all our Right Title property and 
Interests unto a certain parcel of Intach Lands situate 
in the Parish of Andreas with all the edifices and 
other Appurtenances thereto belonging (Reserving 
the small dwelling House and yard aback of land for 
the said ????) unto John Cannell my wives son by a 
former husband. He, the said John Cannell Paying unto 
our two Children namely Enos and Mary Twenty five pounds 
British which another Fifty Pounds British to be paid 
by him after his Mother decease, besides Thirty pounds 
British which the said John Cannell shall pay unto 
the Executor of his said Mother. He the said John 
Cannell is not to possess the aforesaid F????mes until 
the Decease of his mother aforesaid. We likewise 
leave unto Jane and Esther Cannell my wives two Daughters 
by a former husband the use and Benefit of the small 
Dwelling house and the yard aback of said house before 
mentioned wherein they now lives after the decease 
of their said mother and to enjoy the same during 
their natural life time or the long liver of them 
and then the said John Cannell is to enter upon and 
possess the whole fr????  Legacy
I leave and bequeath unto any person that lays 
claim to or pretends to break this my last will 
and testament, one sixpense Legacy.
I nominate Constitute And appoint my son John Lace 
administrator and Executor in trust of this my last 
will and testament to ??? my Just debts Paid and 
all legacies performed and satisfied and to be 
Guardian over my two children Enos and Mary and for 
his trouble I allow him Five Pounds British
I leave unto the Executor of this my Last Will and 
Testament Three shillings each for their trouble 
(I leave unto my son's eldest daughter a chest called 
grandniothers chest Legacy)
Witness names this Sixth day of January One thousand 
and Eight Hundred and Twelve.

N.B. If my said wife Catherine do not agree and confirm 
this my last will and testament or any wise oppose 
therebefore mentioned articles consented by her then 
This my Last Will and Testament is that my said goods 
is to devolve upon my Sons John and Thomas and Enos and 
my daughter Mary equally between them.
