In the name of God Amen.
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of John Martin in the
parish of Andreas being weak in body but perfect sound in mind memory and
understanding at the making of the same upon the 21st day of October 1812.
First He committed his soul to God and his body to a Christian burial. Item
he left and bequeathed to his two sons namely Charles and James the
sum of fifteen pounds each as legacy.
Item he left and bequeathed to his son Thomas the sum of ten pounds as
legacy.
Item he left and bequeathed to his son William the sum of two pounds as
legacy.
He left to any person that hath any right to claim in his will the sum of
five shillings.
Item he left to the witnesses of his will each of them the sum of
eighteen pence.
Lastly he nominated and appointed his beloved with Judith Martin sole
executrix of all the rest of his goods and effects movable and immovable
whatsoever.
