This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Margaret Hampton
als Chreeve [Creer] wife of Joseph Hampton of Balagrangey in the parish
of KK Malew which she published before us the witness on the first of
May one thousand eight hundred and sixteen being of perfect mind and sound
memory at the making hereof.
First she committed her soul to God and her body to a Christian burial.
Item She left and bequeathed unto her son Robt (Lewn) one guinea.
Item She left and bequeathed unto her son Mathias Hampton five pounds Items
She left and bequeathed unto her son John Hampton five pounds Item She left
and bequeathed unto her daughter Elizabeth Hampton ten pounds and a red
chest that is in the parlor.
Item She left and bequeathed unto her daughter Margaret Hampton ten pounds
and the white chest that is in the parlor and all her chlose to be equally
divided betwixt her two daughters the pounds before mentioned
is to be British money and to be paid when they will be twenty for years
of age
Lastly she nominated and appointed her loving husband sole executor of
all her houses and lands and goods movable and immovable be the of what kind
or nature so ever and if in case the said Joseph Hampton is to enter into
matrimony her son Mathias Hampton is to get all her houses and lands at that
time.
Depriving all other person or persons of with six pence legacy that can
clame any right to her aforesaid goods and effects to the contrary of
this will this the tenth June one thousand eight hundred and sixteen.

At a Chapter Court holden in Castletown 29th Oct 1816.
The executor is sworn in court for the payment of debts and legacies as also
guardian and supervisor of the child under age and to these ends he hath
given pledges in form of law namely Wm Bridson and John Bridson both of
