Maughold
At an Ecclal Court holden at Laxey 13th December
1816
Elizabeth Kneale alias Corkill of the parish
of KK Maughold having departed this life on or
about the 18th November last past Interstate
The Court having received intelligence thereof hath
decreed her three Children namely Thomas
Elizabeth and Ellinor Kneale co-administrators
and credits
of all^ her goods, rights,^ chattels, and effects
moveable and immoveable whatever Christopher
Looney husband of Elizabeth aforesaid being
absent from Court, Thomas Kneale is sworn
well and truly to administer the Estate of
the Interstate to exhibit a full, true, and perfect
Inventory thereof in to the Episcopal Register
to pay all her just debts so far forth as the goods
will extend and the Law bind him and to be
true and just to his co-administrators in the
division of the residue of the effects and to
these ends he hath given Pledges in form of
Law namely Thomas Kermeen and Daniel
Kinread both of KK Maughold

Kneale Elizabeth Looney and Eleanor Kneale
of the Parish of KK Maughold
Showith
That your Petitioners mother
Kneale
Elizabeth^ (Widow) departed this life
on November 18th last past Intestate
That Petitioners are the only issue of their
mother aforesaid and are given to understand
that her property or effects are insavory
deranged state and without immediate ease
and attention are subject to great losses and
privations to the great loss of your Petitioners
That so circumstanced Petitioners are
constrained to apply to your Rev.ce for relief
Your Petitioners therefore humbly
pray your Reverance will take their
Case into your consideration by
appointing a day that a decree
may be made on the deceased
property that Petitioners may be im
powered to superintend manage &
take care of their said, said mother’s
property, or such other relief as
your Rev.ce may deem proper to be
done in the premises and your Petits.
Shall pray
Ordered that this Petition to come
on to be heard at an Ecclal Court to
be holden at KK Lonan on [ Friday ]
the 13th instant. Whereof all Parties
are to have due notice
