In the Name of God Amen.
I John Taggart and Ann Taggart my beloved wife
of the Parish of Malew Being in Sound mind 
memory. But considering the uncertainty of this Life
do By our united mind Make this our Joint Last
Will and Testament in the manner following.
First and Principally We Commit our Souls to 
God who gave it and our Bodies to Christian
Burial. 2ly We leave devise and bequeath unto our 
Sons and Daughters John Taggart Thos Taggart Sarah Taggart Margaret
Taggart Esther Taggart and Ann Taggart on the one
Side and Ellinor Quayle Patrick Quayle Margaret Quayle
Charlotte Quayle and Ann Taggart  on the other Side
the Sum of one Shilling British each. 3dly and lastly
I John Taggart and Ann Taggart my beloved wife
do leave devise and Bequeath unto the Longest liver
of Either of us or which of us will Survive or shall
Survive the other Joint Executor and Executrix of all. 
All and singular our Goods Cash Chattles, Effects 
Credits Debts and paying of Legacies
and all of what we have or hereafter shall have all
Kinds of Goods Cash Credits and Effects and Chattles
movable or immovable of what Soever kind or order
to the Longest Liver or the Longest that will survive
the other joint whole and sole Executor and Executrix 
and paying any Claimant that will or
Shall claim the sum of Six pence British and
Likewise making null and void all other will or
wills By us made and Executed and Confirming 
this to be our Last Will and Testament to be
duly Executed upholded by the one or the other of
the Longest liver or which will Survive the other
or as will do bind and oblige the one to the other
of ??????? hath thereunto set our hands and 
Subscriptions Before the Subscribing witnesses this

holden in Castle Rushen
the 22nd Oct 1817
Notwithstanding that this will has been
proved but by one witness yet no objection being
offered thereto Ann Taggart the survivor is sworn
exorx in form of Law and hath given pledges
for the payment of Debts and Legacies namely
Thos Collister of Malew and Robert Crain
