Vicar general of the South district of
this Isle etc.
The humble petition
of John Cannell and
Philip Cannell of the
parish of Conchan
Sheweth
That your petrs father
Adam Cannel, of the parish aforesaid,
died in the month of janry 1818 last past
and that he appointed your petrs Exors
of hi last Will etc
That there are goods and effects likely
to wast or to be wasted to which your
petrs ought to attend
Wherefore
your petrs pray that
your reverence will be
pleased to appoint a day for
the probate of the will of
your petrs father aforesaid
and your petrs for your
Reverence will pray etc.
Ordered that this petition
do come on to be heard at
a Consistrory court to be holden
at ramsey the last thursday
in March next, and hereof
all proper parties and persons
are to have due notice. Given
this 28th Febry 1818.

In the name of God Amen, July 3rd 1816
This is affirmed to be the last Will and Testament of
Adam Cannell of Ballashyllee in the parish of Conchan
who was in sound and disposing mind memory and
undestanding at the making hereof. He commended
his soul to the mercy of Almighty God, and his body
to christian burial. He disposed of his wordly
goods and effect in manner following vizt.
First, he left and bequeathed to his son Thos. Cannell
all his right and title to the husbandary or farming utinzels
Item, he left and bequeathed to his son Philip Cannell
his feather bed and bedding. Item, He left and bequeathed
to his son Thos Cannell's daughters five shillings each.
Lastly, he nominated and appointed his son John Cannell
& son Philip Cannell joint Exors of all the rest of
of his disposable effects of what nautre soever
or description they may be off and of this his last
will and testament in presence of us

John Cain } jur Court holden in
Ramsey the 26

the exors are sworn in Court in form
of law and have given pledges for the
payment of debts and legacies namely
the witnesses of the will. The said Exors
are also sworn to be true & just to each
other in the division of effects.
