Braddan
July the 9th 1818
The last will and testament of William Killip of Braddan who was weak
in body but of disposing mind memory and understanding at the making hereof
He left his soul to the mercy of Almighty God and his body to Christian
burial.
His worldly goods and disposable effects he left and bequeathed in the
following manner:
He left and bequeathed to his son William Killip the sixteenth share of
the fishing boat, Jane and Mary of Douglas (Evan Lewin master) and seven
pounds British of the money which remains on mortgage on Ballefargher
in Conchan
Item He left and bequeathed to his daughter Jane Killip ten pounds
British of the money of the said mortgage.
Item He left and bequeathed to his son John Killip two shillings and six
pence
Item To his son Thomas Killip two shillings and six pence and to his son
James Killip two shillings and six pence as they have trades.
Item He left his son Edward and his son Robert Killip being minors to be
provided for by his executrix.
Lastly he nominated and appointed his loving wife Esther Killip als Cross
sole and whole executrix of all the rest of his goods moveable and
immoveable and of this his last will and testament and declared this to
be his last will and testament in presence of us.

At a Chapter Court holden in Douglas on the 25th May 1819.
The executrix is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges the
witnesses.
