Maughold
At a Consistorial Court holden in Ramsey 24 Feb 1820:
William Sprainger of the town of Ramsey, bachelor, having departed this life
in or about the month of December last intestate and this court
having received intelligence thereof, and upon the humble petition of Edmund
Sprainger brother of the deceased, hath decreed him the said Edmund and his
brethren Thomas, Edward, and Martin, together with his sister Jane Walton
and his mother Ann Kermeen co-administrators of all and singular the goods,
rights, credits, chattels, and effects moveable
and immoveable whatever of the intestate, and the said Edward and
Martin being both under age, and it being the desire of the other next of
kin that he the said Edmund be sworn in trust for them to administer the
estate of their intestate, he is accordingly sworn well and truly to
administer the same, to exhibit a perfect inventory to pay all just debts,
and to be true and just to his minor and absent coadministrators in the
division of the residuum and as guardian and supervisor of the children
under age and to these ends he Callow and William Christian, both of Ramsey.
