In the name of God Amen. This is affirmed to be the last will and testament
of Christian Killey of BallaKaighin in the parish of KK German made
published and declared before us the witnesses hereof on the first of
October 1820 who being of sound mind memory and understanding at the making
hereof. First she committed her soul to God and her body to a Christian
Burial.
ITEM - She left an bequeathed to her husband the best horse and the best cow
and the best bed as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her brother William Sayle two pounds
British as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her grandson John Connan two pounds
British as legacy.
ITEM -She left and bequeathed to her granddaughter Elinor Connan four pound
British as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her granddaughter Elinor Kelly the wife of
Thomas Shimmin one pound British beside what she received before as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her granddaughter Cathrine Kelly the wife
of Edward Corkill two pounds British as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her grandaughter Jane Kelly two pounds
British as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her grandson John Kelly two shillings and
six pence British beside what he received before as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her grandson Thomas Kelly one pound
British as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her grandson William Kelly two shillings
and six pence British as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her grandson Henry Kelly two shillings and
six pence British as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her granddaughter Ann Killey the wife of
Thomas Killip one pound British as legacy.
ITEM - She left and bequeathed to her daughter Catherine her cloathes and
all her webs as legacy.
LASTLY - She nominated constituted and appointed her two daughters Catherine
the wife of William Kelly and Elinor the wife of William Cannan totally
whole and sole executrixes of all the rest of her goods cash credits
chattels and effects moveable and immovable of kind or nature soever.

At Consistory Court holden in Ramsey 22 Feb 1821. The executrixes Catharine
widow of William Kelly deceased and William Cannon are sworn in court in
form of law and to be true and just to each other in the division of effects
and for the payment of debts and legacies they have given. Pledges namely
Jame Cooile of German and Charles Killey the witnesses. Henry Maddrell and
T Stephens
I Jane Kelly of the town of Douglas do acknowledge to have received from
Catherine Kelly my mother one of the executrixes of the will of Christian
Kelly deceased the sum of two pounds British being the whole of the legacy
bequeathed to me in the said will of said Christian Killey and I do hereby
release acquit exonerate and discharge the said Cath Kelly her executors
administrators and assigns of the same and every part thereof. As witnesses
my name this 24th June 1824. Jane Kelly. The said Jane Kelly acknowledged
the above release and receipt before me Henry Maddrell
I John Cannon of the parish of KK German do acknowledge to have received
from William Cannon husband of Eleanor Cannor als Killey one of the
executrixes named in the will fo Christian Killey deceased the sum of two
pounds British being the whole amount of the legacy bequeathed to me in the
said will of Christian Killey. I do hereby release acquit exonerate and
discharge the said William Cannon and Catherine Kelly the other executrix of
the said will of the same and every part there of as witnesses my name this
24th June 1824 John Cannan.
The said John Cannon acknowledged the above released and receipt before me.

I Thomas Killip of the parish of KK German husband of Anne Killip als Killey
do acknowledge to have received from Catherine Corkhill als Kelly widow, one
of the executrixes named in the will of Christian Killey one pound British
the amount of the legacy bequeath and to my wife in the said will. And I do
hereby release acquit exonerate and discharge the said Catherine Corkill her
executors administrators and assigns of the same and every part thereof as
witness my name this 24th June 1824. Thomas Killip. The said Thomas Killip
appeared personally before me and acknowledged the above receipt - Henry
Maddrell Ar Regn.
I Catherine Corkill also Kelly wife of Edward Corkill now of the island do
acknowledge to have received from Catherine Kelly of the Parish of Braddan
my mother one pound British of the Executrixes named in the will of
Christian Killey deceased two pounds British being the whole amount of the
legacy bequeathed to me in the said will and I do hereby release acquit
exonerate and discharge the said Cath Kelly her executors administrators and
assigns of the same and every part thereof. As Witness my name this 24th
June 1824 - Catherine Corkill.
The said Cath Corkill acknowledged the above release and receipt before me -
Henry Maddrell.
