This is affirmed by the subscribing witnesses hereof to be the last will
and testament of Patrick Corkan of Glenwillen in the parish of Kirk
Michael declared by him by word of mouth on the 13th of December
instant in our presence he being of sound and disposing mind memory and
understanding at the time of uttering the same.
He committed his soul to God and body to Christian burial.
He bequeathed unto his son John two shillings and six pence British
legacy.
He bequeathed to his granddaughter Elinor daughter of his said son John a
legacy of four shillings British.
He bequeathed one shilling and six pence British to each and every person
who should pretend a right or share to his goods and effects
And lastly he left and bequeathed to his son William Corkan all the rest
residue and remainder of his goods rights credits chattels and effects
moveable and  immoveable whatever.
And he nominated, constituted, and appointed his said son William
Corkan whole and sole executor and residuary legatee of this his last
will and testament.
As witness our subscriptions this 18th day of December 1813.

At a Chapter Court holden in KMichael 24 Oct 1820.
The executor sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for
the payment of debts and legacies namely William Caine of Ballagawne
and William Kneen both of Kirk Michael.
