The Last Will and Testament of Thomas Key of the Parish of Kirk Patrick, he departed this life
the 29th day of November 1819 Being weak in Body but in sound and perfect Memory at the
making thereof.
First
He committed his Soul to God and his body to a Christian Burial.
2ndly
He left his wife Catherine Key and Children between them all his goods moveable and
immoveable of whatsoever sort and leaving all the rest that claims with sixpence each.

At a chapter Court holden at .......... 9th June 1820.
Thomas Key of the parish of Kirk Patrick having departed this life on or about the 1st December
last, and previously made his Last Will and Testament duly attested, but therefore having
appointed no executor, this Court having received intelligence thereof hath committed
administrator of all the Effects of the deceased with the said Will annexed, unto his wife Catherine
Key, and she is thereupon sworn administrator in trust of the estate of her deceased husband ...
testament .... accordingly, to exhibit a perfect inventory and to pay debts, and to these ends she
hath given pledges in form of Law namely Thos. Quayle and Thomas Quilliam the witnesses of the
Will.
