Nicholas Hampton, 1821

      Maughold
Nicholas Hampton of the parish of Kirk Maughold having departed this
life on or about the 18th Jan 1819 intestate leaving issue him surviving
Matthew, Elizabeth and Elinor and this court having received intelligence
thereof hath decreed his said children co-administrators of all and
singular his goods rights credits chattels and effects moveable and
immoveable whatever and the said Elinor being under age they the said
Matthew and Elizabeth are sworn in trust co-administrators and as guardians
of the said minor Elinor well and truly to administer the
estate of their intestate father to exhibit inventory and pay debts and to
be true and just to each other and the said minor in the division of the
residences and to these ends they have given pledges in form of law namely
William Stowell and John Creer both of Maughold.  Jane Hampton
the mother of the children under age is likewise sworn their guardian
and supervisor.
