In the name of God Amen.
We Thomas Kelly and Isabella Kelly of the parish of Marown and of
Ballavitchel in the said parish being weak in body but of perfect sound
mind memory and understanding do make and constitute this to be our joint
and last will and testament in manner following.
First we commit our soul to Almighty God and our body's to Christian
burial.
Secondly We leave and bequeath to our son Robert Kelly all the cash he owed
us prior to his marriage, also all the cash and goods belonging to us that
was expended towards building the new dwelling house which he the said Robt
Kelly now lives in. Also all the farming gears and utensils thereunto
belonging or appertaining. Also we leave and bequeath him our said son
Robert Kelly the clock.
Thirdly We leave and bequeath to our daughter Anne Hampton wife of Thomas
Hampton the sum of five pounds.
Fourthly we leave and bequeath to our daughter Catherine Quine wife of
Thomas Quine the sum of fifteen pounds.
Fifthly we leave and bequeath to our daughter Margaret Cowley wife of John
Cowley the sum of five pounds.
Sixthly we leave and bequeath to our granddaughter Isabella Hampton the sum
of five pounds.
Seventhly we leave and bequeath to every person or persons claiming any
right title or interest to our effects or property the sum of six pence
each.
Eighthly we leave and bequeath to the Wardens of the parish of Kirk
Marown or their successors in office forever the sum of five pounds and the
interest of the said sum to be paid annually to the school master of the
present school house which is now situated on the estate of
BalneKilley in the said parish and if in case the parishioners of the said
parish shall or may at any one time think proper to remove the said
school house to any other part of the said parish then in that case we do
leave and bequeath the said sum of five pounds to the poor of the said
parish of Marown which sum of five pounds is to be forever deposited or
lodged in the hands of the Wardens of the said parish of Marown and the
interest of the said sum of five pounds to be paid annually by the said
wardens to the poor of the said parish.
Lastly we the said testators say and declare that the survivor of us or
any one of us that may happen to survive the other is wholly and solely
entitled to the whole of our remaining property movable and immovable
be the same of what denomination soever and we do also say and declare that
the surviving person of us or any one of us who survives the other is
entitled to leave and bequeath the said remaining goods mentioned or the
whole of our said goods or any part thereof to any person or persons he
or she may think proper so to do- And this we the said testators publish
pronounce and declare to be our joint last will and testament. As
witness our subscriptions and marks this the 16th day of March 1812 Thomas
