Malew
In the name of God Amen.
I Margret Taggart widdow of the parish of KK Malew being of sound mind and
memory at the making of this my last will and testament but considering the
uncertainty of this life do make this my last will and testament in manner
following that is to say.
First and principally I commit my soul to God who gave it and my body to
Christian burial at the discretion of my executor.
2nd - I leave devise and bequeath my grand son Wm Maddrell son and heir of
John Maddrell of Grenaby of KK Malew aforesaid a feather bed, a ----
bedstead, and hangings also my half a clock and chest and drawers all in the
house of the above John Maddrell at present.
3rd I leave devise and bequeath unto my four grandchildren Wm John
and James Maddrell children of the above John Maddrell of Grenaby
aforesd one hundred pounds British (which I have now in my possession
and a Promissory Note from Thomas Bridson of Ballagraqngee of K
Malew) to be equally divided among them that is twenty five pounds
British each to be received by them when each of them arrives at the age of
twenty one years.
4thly I leave devise and bequeath unto my son Richard Taggart the sum of
twenty shillings British and all the interest he owes to me and cash I
have lent him.
5thly I leave devise and bequeath unto my granddaughter Ann Kissack
alias Gell all my apparel both woolen and linen and of whatever kind or
nature that is fashioned.
Sixthly and Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint to be for my
executor John Maddrell of Grenaby in KK Malew father of the above
my grandchildren Wm, John, Paul, and James Maddrell my whole and sole
executor of all the rest of my goods and effects moneys dues and all things
whether movable or immovable and paying of legacies and debts
and I do hereby revoke make void and dis-annull all other former will or
wills by me made and executed and leaving to all claimants that may or shall
claim the sum of six pence British each and do declare this to be
my last will and testament. Witness my subscription this seventh day of
