Arbory
The last will and testament of Catherine Quayle who departed this life
the 29th of July 1823 being weak in body but of sound mind and memory
at the making hereof.
First she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial.
Secondly she left and bequeathed to her three children namely Robert,
William and John fifteen pounds British a piece and if either of the said
children should die that then the survivor of them to have his or their
money
Item she left to her Mother her ring and china wares she left to her
sister Jane her spinning wheel she left her apperal to her sisters
whatever of it that would not be of use to the children.
Lastly she nominated and appointed her husband John Quayle sole
executor of all her worldly goods moveable and or immoveable of what nature
soever, excluding any person that claim any interest in her will
with six pence legacy. Declared by the testatrix to be her last will and
testament in the presence of us and desired us to witness the same. William

At a Chapter Court holden in Castle Rushen 5 Nov 1823 The executor is sworn
in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and
legacies namely Thomas Cowley of Malew and William
Collister of Santan. Probatum Est F Stephens
