Petition of William Creer of the Town of
Douglas
Sheweth that Elizabeth Cain widow
of John Cain of Sd Town died Intestate
on the Eleventh day of July Inst
and having no issue your Petr. being
her Eldest Brother and seeing her goods
and property lying in a perishable
Estate
Wherefore your Petr. prays
your Revnd would be pleased
To Grant a hearing of this petition
and that your Petr. will be
allowed to administer according
to Law on the first Consistorial
Court and the suit of him to be
Duly Summoned and your petr.
shall pray & &
Ordered that this petition to come and heard
at a Consistorial Court to be holden in Ramsey
on Thursday next, whereby all proper
parties & persons may have a notice
given at Douglas 25 July 1823

Elizabeth Caine alias Creer of
the parish of Braddan widow
having departed this life on
or about the 11th July inst intestate
and this court having received
intelligence thereof hath decreed
her only and eldest brother William Creer her
surviving sole adminr of all
and singular her Goods Rights
credits Chattels and Effects
movable and immovable
whatever, and he is therefore
sworn well and truly to administer
the same to exhibit Inventory
& pay debts, and to these ends he
hath given pledges in form
of Law namely John Quirk
of Douglas, and John Kissack
of Ramsey.
