51 Lezayre
I Margaret Cretney otherwise of the Parish of KK Christ
Lezayre being weak in Body but of sound mind and memory
proceed to make this my last Will and testament in manner following.
Firstly I commit my sole to God and my Body to Christian burial.
Secondly I leave to my son James Cretney one pound British as legacy.
Thirdly I leave to my Daughter Eleanor Caley two pounds British
and my share or right on the Dwelling House to be enjoyed by
her and for her use during her natural life.
Fourthly I leave to my Daughter Ann wife of Thomas Corlett
one pound British as legacy.
Fifthly I leave to my son John Cretney one pound
British as legacy.
Sixthly I leave to my son Thomas or his wife if he is
not in the Island when the same becomes due
one pound British as legacy
all the before mentioned legacies in monies be paid to any
before mentioned children respectively by my Executors hereafter
at the end of five years from the date hereof.
Seventhly I leave to Robert Cretney one yearling as legacy.
Eighthly I leave to my son William my Grey Mare, my black
cow and little heifer and likewise my Sheep and a feather
bed during his lifetime to be enjoyed and used by him,
and it is my will that the before mentioned articles shall
return to my Son Charles Cretney or his ???? after the
decease of my son William Cretney and I further leave unto
my son William the one half of my crop of Corn and Potatoes
now in my Haggard and on my Premises.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my son Charles
Cretney whole and sole Executor [and] Residuary Legatee
of this my Will and of all my Goods and Effects movable
and unmovable of what kind is nature so ever.
This 11th day of January within year One thousand eight
Hundred and Twenty three 1823.
