In the Name of God Amen
We Thomas Looney of Ballagilley in the parish of KK
Maughold and Isabella Looney my wife being both infirm
and advanced in years, but of perfect sound disposing mind
memory and Understanding Calling to mind the uncertainty
of Human existence Knowing by the Course of Nature
that neither of us have long to survive Do jointly make
Ordain and Appoint This to be Our Last Will and
Testament revoking hereby all other Wills by us or either
of us having made previous thereto –
Imprimis We first Commit Our Souls to God and Our bodies
to the Earth to be interred in a decent Christian like
manner at the discretion of the Survivor of us
Item We Leave devise and bequeath unto Our Son
John a feather bed and Bolster with suitable bed cloths to
the same Item We Leave and bequeath to Our daughter
Jane the wife of William Kermeen a Cotton Gown
Item We leave and bequeath to Our Grand daughter
Ann the wife of William Skillicorn a shawl brown & black [Loved]
Item We leave and bequeath unto Our daughter Isabella
the wife of Thomas Cannell and to her daughter Jane Cannell
the Testatrix shaped wearing Apparel to be divided on
them by the Testator if he survives her the said Testatrix
and a small spinning wheel to the said Jane
Item We leave and bequeath unto all persons that may
Claim or Crave in this Our will the sum of One shilling each
The said *…..* Legacies and bequests to be paid or delivered at
the death of the [survivor]
And Lastly We Nominate Constitute and appoint
the Survivor of us Whole and sole Executor or Executrix
and Residuary Legatee of all the rest and residue of
Our present Worldly Effects moveable and immoveable of what
ever Kind Nature or denomination Whatsoever or such
other effects as we may be possessed of at Our decease
