At a Chapter Court holden at Kirk Michael on the 22nd day of May 1824
Humphrey Joughin of the parish of Jurby bachelor having departed this
life on or about the 1st April 1824 last past intestate and this court
having received intelligence thereof hath sworn his father Andrew
Joughin in trust well and truly to administer the estate of the said
Humphrey Joughin deceased to pay all his jus debts so far forth as the goods
will extend and the law bind him to exhibit a full true and perfect
inventory of the deceadents goods and effects into the Episcopal
Registry and to be accountable for his proceedings herein when thereunto
lawfully required and to these  ends the Reverend John Harrison (Vicar) and
William Corlett both of Jurby have entered into a bond to the Lord Bishop
and his successors bearing equal date herewith in the final sum
of twenty pounds British

Andrew Joughin made oath on the Holy Evangelists that the Personal Property
of Humphrey Joughin decease will not exceed in value the sum
of twenty pounds British to the best of the deponents's knowledge
information and belief.
